World War II U.S. M1 Carbine Bayonet

This is a World War II U.S. M1 Carbine bayonet. This model M4  bayonet and scabbard are in overall good condition with some rust present and the usual signs of age. The blade of the bayonet is in good condition with some marks and scratches visible across its surface. The guard of the bayonet and lug and in good condition, though there is rust present. The leather grip of the bayonet is in good condition and still remains tight to the tang. The pommel is in good condition as well. The scabbard is in good condition, although there is some rust on the metal portion which reads “U.S. M8, B.M. CO.” There fabric portion of the scabbard is in good condition, and the metal snaps show only the slightest signs of patina and age.
