World War II U.S.M.C. KA-BAR FIGHTING KNIFE
This is a World War II era U.S.M.C. KA-BAR Fighting Knife. This KA-BAR has a very nice blade which is around 7 inches in length with some signs of wear from utility and combat use. The last inch of the blade is bent very slightly towards the right. The leather grip feels solid and has loosened only slightly here and there. The leather sheath is missing one of the rivets toward the tip (having only 6 of the original 7) and there is a slight tear in the leather near the one of the larger rivets by the guard of the knife. Additionally, at some point one of the original bands connected to the straps had been wrapped by what appears to be some form of tape.
