This is a World War II 14th Air Force Uniform. The uniform includes the jacket, shirt, and pants. The 14th Air Force patch has been sewn onto the upper right sleeve of the jacket as well as the upper right sleeve of the shirt. On the left shoulder of the jacket is a theater-made China-Burma-India (C.B.I.) patch composed of wire and cloth. A similar all-cloth patch can be found on the left shoulder of the dress shirt as well. On either sleeve is a patch which indicates this man attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. On the lower left sleeve are two patches with the one composed of two service stripes indicating that this man served for a full year overseas while the single diagonal stripe is a mark of his service as an enlisted man.
