World War I German Imperial Non-commissioned Officer Army Sword

This is a World War I era German Imperial army Non-Commissioned Officer’s sword. The blade itself is in great condition and shows little signs of wear or patina down its length and is entirely straight. At the base of the blade is a wonderfully engraved series of symbols and decorative markings that appear to be vines and lengths of plants combined with the maker’s mark. The guard of the blade is slightly loose but the grip is still tight and is in pristine condition. The steel scabbard features a wonderful patina and shows only a few signs of age marks and spots down its length. Overall this sword is in fine condition and it would be difficult to find an upgrade to this piece.
