U.S.S. Intrepid Book and Navy Plaques

This is a Korean War era book on the re-launching of the U.S.S. Intrepid and a pair of plaques from the Navy Yard in New York. The book itself is in good condition with little staining or tears, although the pages have separated from the spine almost entirely. The first of the two plaques is labeled “Hydrographic Office, U.S. Navy.” This plaque is fairly dirtied and marked by age, and the mounting brackets have been broken off the back. The other plaque features an eagle perched atop a cannon marked “MMA USN,” from which a sign labeled “Navy Yard N.Y. N.Y.” is hanging. The mounting brackets are still present on the back.
