Spanish Short Sword from circa 1880


This is a Spanish Short Sword from circa 1880. The sword features a hardened steel blade that is marked on the base of the blade “Artilleria Fabrica De Toledo.” The handle is made from solid brass and is very sturdy. The blade is also completely straight and shows very few signs of wear and age. The scabbard is made from leather and is in very rough condition and has been almost completely rotted away and torn open on one side.  The brass locket and chape and features a nice patina.
