Named World War I U.S. “Doughboy” Helmet. This helmet belonged to a “Thomas Bonner” who served in the 315 th Regiment assigned to the 79 th Division. The original regiment and division number can be seen faintly in yellow paint on the helmet’s front. Bonner fought in several battles conflicts including Meuse-Argonne offensive of 1918. The helmet’s liner is present but mostly detached from the helmet.
