Civil War Collins No. 18 Bowie Knife / Machete

Civil War era Collins No. 18 Bowie Knife or “machete.” One of a very limited number that was re-issued and sold to the public with a beautifully designed brass handle in the 1870s. Handle has separated slightly near pommel, but it remains firmly affixed to the blade.
