This is a World War II U.S. Navy / U.S. Marine Corps nylon flight cap. There is a patch in the back of the cap which reads, “SIZE MEDIUM, CONTRACT No. N288s-26302.” The flight cap is in overall near mint / mint condition and it would be difficult to find an upgrade to this piece. The only signs of wear on this cap can be found in the form of some slight sweat marks on the inside of the ear muffs.
