World War II Japanese Type 30 Helmet Shell

This is a World War II Japanese Type 30 helmet shell. This helmet has been repainted a light tan and the star on the front has been repainted a dark red. There are a large number of scuffs and age marks across the helmet with a handful actually revealing the original paint underneath the newer coat. The star on the front of the helmet is slightly off-centered and appears almost to have been re-welded on at some point. The inside of the shell is almost completely intact except for a handful of rust or age spots here and there.
