World War II German M-42 Army Helmet Shell. The shell is in very good condition, retaining most of its field gray paint. Helmet retains its original rivets and steel liner band. Sometime postwar, and most likely done by an American GI, a rope was affixed to the chinstrap loops of the liner band as a way of hanging the helmet on a wall. Inner skirt of helmet has the maker and size marking of ET62 and the batch number 1654.
