World War II German Fireman’s Bayonet

This is a World War II German Fireman’s Bayonet. This bayonet has a very fine nickel plating on the eagle silhouette pommel as well as the opposed teardrop cross-guard. The grip plates are black checkered Bakelite and are in very good condition. They are retained by nickel rivets with dressed obverse heads that have wear and age marks to them. The blade of the bayonet is completely straight and shows little to no age marks. The scabbard is in good condition with some rust and lose of paint visible here and there. The leather sword frog is in good condition with wear from being worn on a belt and age.
