World War II era U.S.M.C. Jerry or Gas Can

This is a World War II era U.S.M.C. jerry can. This can is dated “1943” on the base and it is good condition for its age. The side of the can has the letters “USMC” stamped into the metal, and the base has the lot number and year of issue. The can has a few rust and wear marks here and there and the cap is difficult to remove, and there appears to be wax that has dripped here and there along the can. Overall, this uncommon item is in good condition and would make a fine addition to any collection.
