World War II era Stielhandgranate Wooden Handle

This is a World War II era German stielhandgranate–or stick grenade–handle. This handle is in good condition for its age, although it has warped slightly with time. On the side of the grenade the German armory emblem along with “dp. 43” has been burned into the wood. The wood of the grenade retains a nice finish for its age, and would make a fine addition to any collection.
