World War II era American M49A2 Mortar Round

This is a World War II era M49A2 60 mm Mortar Round. This mortar round is inert and has neither the propellant nor the head / charge present. The shell of this round is in good condition and retains a majority of its original yellow coloring, although it has faded slightly and there are a few scratches present here and there. The side of the shell is marked “M49A2” and has a handful of other identification / serial numbers present. The base of the shell is marked “KOP, 2 – 6951 – 38, 1942, M32.” There is some rusting present on the fins and inside the shell, although its still sturdy and in overall good shape.
