World War II era German M-42 Helmet Shell

This is a World War II era German M-42 Helmet. This helmet was manufactured sometime during the war, and appears to be about a size 60. The helmet comes with a small liner of sorts, but no chip strap is present. The helmet is marked “SKI 60, 4287” along the rim at the back as well. The shell of the helmet appears to have some of the original green-gray paint across its surface, although it has a few scratch marks and rust spots here and there.
