World War I U.S. Army Marching Compass

This is a World War I era Creagh-Osborne Marching Compass. This compass comes in its original leather case with the original product information tag attached. The top portion of the leather cover of the case has become detached from the clasp, but it is still attached to the case itself. The is in good condition, although the filler fluid has evaporated some time ago and the glass portions of the compass appear clouded and dirtied. The back of the compass is marked “U.S.E.D., CREAGH-OSBORNE MARCHING COMPASS, MARK VII MOD. E., S. PERRY GYROSCOPE CO., BROOKLYN, N.Y.”
