World War I era Model 1909 U.S. Army Bolo Knife

This is a World War I era Model of 1909 Bolo Knife. This bolo knife is patterned after the Model of 1909 variant, and features a straight back with a curved handle an a “machete” style blade. The base of the blade is marked “Plumb. Phil. 1917” and the opposite is marked “US 55885.” The blade of the knife has some rust and wear marks most likely from use and age, although there appears to be no chipping from combat use. The grip is in good condition and retains the original pin, and the guard is in good shape as well with only a handful of scratch marks present.
