World War I German M-16 Helmet

This is a World War I German M-16 helmet. This helmet is in good condition with few signs of combat wear. The left edge of the rim has taken a hit from shrapnel. Two pads of the three-pad leather liner are mostly intact. The back of the helmet has an “H” scratched into it, most likely the first letter of the owner’s surname, and the maker and size stamp is “N.J. 62.”
