Pre-World War I era Ross Rifle Bayonet

This is a pre-World War I era U.S. issued Ross-Rifle Bayonet. This bayonet is in very good condition overall and the steel sheath retains the original leather cover. The leather cover, however, is in very worn condition with the leather having been scuffed in many places. The bayonet’s blade, guard and handle, and wooden grip are in very good condition, with the blade being entirely straight. The handle is marked with “Ross Rifle Co., Quebec, Patented 1907, I98, 53” on one side, and “‘A’08, 10,” on the other. There are some other small marks present as well. The leather sheath cover is marked “U.S.”
