Civil War era Colt Patent Bullet Mold

This is a Civil War era Colt Patent bullet mold. This mold can form two types of shot designed for a Colt revolver that are .44 caliber, and it includes the original “clipping” device used to seal the molds and trim off excess lead while the shot cooled. The words “Colt Patent” can be seen faintly near the pivot point, and the remainder of this mold has some light rust and wear from age and use.
