This is a sample ‘short’ description field of a sample product listing for a WordPress website using the WooCommerce plug-in. I like to use the short description because it displays to the right of the product photos and above the ‘add to cart’ button. If you use the normal description field, it will appear below everything else.
It is a good idea to have two to three photos to help describe the product. The display of products will look best if the photos are cropped the same for all the products on the site. We suggest cropping photos to 1200×1200 pixels. Square photos are the best size that will accommodate a wide variety of shaped products where some are short and wide and others are tall and narrow.
Remember to accurately describe the item and include dimensions, weight and condition where appropriate.
