Korean War era U.S. Air Force Pilot’s Oxygen Mask


This is a Korean War era U.S. Air Force pilot’s oxygen mask. This mask features the original head straps, connecting hose, and a plug for the radio used by the pilots. The mask features many markings on the outside of it, including: “MASK OXYGEN, TYPE MS. 22001, SIZE MEDIUM, PRESSURE BREATHING, U.S. Property.” The manufacturer’s mark (“MSA”) is also clearly visible. On the left cheek of the mask, a small stamp indicates that it was manufactured in March of 1954 and provides other information about the contract and production number.
